ICYMI - A round-up of posts to help you manage your nonprofit board

You know you’ve been blogging a while when you start to write a new post, think it all sounds very familiar, and then realize you already wrote that post! Can I blame it on COVID-brain?

So it turns out I’ve written several blog posts in the last few months around nonprofit board management. It’s a relevant topic for so many of my clients, those in my social circles, and based on my template shop sales, it’s also a big need in the nonprofit world.

In case you missed them, here are some of my recent posts around managing your nonprofit board. If you missed them the first time, take some time to read them now.

How a board report template can save your sanity and stop the overwhelm

This post walks through the most popular template in the template shop - the Executive Director Board Report. Peek inside the template, see what sections are included, and learn how to customize it to meet your needs in just a few minutes.

How to create a board member portal on your website

By creating a board member portal on your website, you can easily provide access to the documents they need, increase readership of those documents, and track board member activity to better understand their behaviors. This post walks you through three different options (from basic to advance) to make your own portal on your website.

Three ways to keep your board members engaged during this time (and your number one recruiting tool for new members)

If you’re a nonprofit, chances are good that you’ve not only had to cancel at least one event during the Coronavirus pandemic but you’ve also either canceled board meetings or at the very least, adapted them to the current environment. Hopefully, you’ve been able to take advantage of tools like Zoom, Webex, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. to bring your meetings online and still get business accomplished. But, even if your meetings have continued, you might still be trying to keep your board members focused on how they can help your organization during this trying time. This post outlines three ways to keep board members engaged right now (still relevant two months later).

Well, that should keep you reading a while! And if these posts are of interest to you, please keep following here, on Facebook, or join my email list so you don’t miss any new blog posts.
